“A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people. —Franklin D. Roosevelt, 1937

From farm to table, Last of Seven works to lessen its environmental impact at every step of the way. We view the need for sustainability as an essential part of our evolution, for this we are fully committed. Our approach is two-fold: pushing ourselves to improve upon how we deliver products and bringing resources and awareness to organizations that devote themselves to environmental issues.

In January 2021, we identified several regenerative farming non-profit organizations in the US. We are partnering with them on campaigns to support farmers in achieving regenerative farming methods. Achieving an organic certification and regenerative certified methods can be huge burdens on small farmers. Many have great practices and intentions but getting the certification done and crossing the line to proven practices can be too much for them to consume while trying to make a living. Several of these organizations are committed to supporting farmers at meaningful levels. Last of Seven proudly donates 50% of the profits of our “I like it dirty” campaign tote bag to these non-profit organizations. “I like it dirty”, I bet that caught your attention, is also an awareness campaign to bring attention to the importance of retaining nutrient rich soil for the generations to come.

To only echo the words of FDR is no longer enough to preserve the lands which nourish us. By actively seeking and supporting regenerative soil protections, Last of Seven ensures our products not only taste good, but are doing good.
